Shooting a wedding is hard.
I mean - your feet hurt for the rest of the week, your back literally screams and every time you switch out that memory card - even though you have a VERY specific system - you are terrified that something went wrong and you've lost all the pictures forever by some freak something happening like a magnetic storm or what have you.
But I'm not going to tell you that.
I won't tell you that every single time I get in the car after shooting for 8-10 hours I think "I did not get paid enough..."
What I WILL tell you is how much I love it. How much every shot, every pose and every moment I capture in my lens is 100% work every penny earned. The knowledge that you will look at those photos for the rest of your life because that was it - that was the one day and the only photos you have of your only wedding day - fills me with such pride.
I love every moment of every wedding. My heart literally races when I pull up at a venue. Part is nerves and the other is pure adrenalin laced anticipation of the smiles and tears.
I love being the ONLY one around when you and your now husband take your photos together. I love sticking on a long lens and just backing away a bit to give you your space. I love hearing the things he whispers to you - even if I can't make out the words, I know they are words that remind you why you are here in the first place.
